Ashwagandha Tincture

Ashwagandha has been used in natural medicine for hundreds of years for its many health benefits, from increasing energy levels to regulating the nervous system, improving sleep and rest, preventing or stopping stress-related hair loss and even boosting libido. 

Some also recommend ashwagandha for gut health which can lead to all sorts of benefits including better digestion and more luminous skin.

Precautions:

Because ashwagandha is thought to increase testosterone levels, it should be avoided in individuals with hormone-sensitive prostate cancer. Individuals who take benzodiazepenes, anticonvulants, or barbiturates should avoid ashwagandha due to its sedative effects. Additionally, pregnant women should not take ashwagandha as it is shown to induce abortion. Taking ashwagandha may also affect the thyroid so those with thyroid abnormalities or disease should check with a healthcare provider before starting.
