Goldenrod Tincture

Goldenrod has a long history of use for its beneficial properties.  A late summer to early autumn wildflower, packed with sticky pollen, this beautiful commonly over-looked plant is an absolute favorite of bees and other pollinators. Often being blamed as the culprit of seasonal allergies, because of its fellow autumn flowering arch nemesis ragweed. On the contrary goldenrod is usually used to help reduce the pesky allergy symptoms that ragweed can cause.

Native to Europe and Asia, Solidago canadensis or goldenrod is an herbaceous perennial that is now naturalized throughout North America.  Being and extremely hardy plant that grows in pastures, meadows, mountainsides and roadsides. Goldenrod is a member of the Asteraceae family; The plant can grow upwards of several feet high and spreads easily.

 Goldenrod was used in folk herbalism as a tonic herb and for its affinity for the kidneys, urinary tract, upper respiratory tract, and cardiovascular system. Today, the herb is still used for many of the same uses.

Ingredients: Organic/Wildcrafted Goldenrod - Menstruum/Solvent: Alcohol (*0-100 proof)

Made in small batches. This liquid tincture is best taken in water or juice.
